Will the Real Zenaida Gonzalez Please Stand Up!

Okay unfaithful ones, I need to get a life.

So here I was watching Saturday Night Live (Google v. iPhone) when I noticed this post on the MarinadeDave blog: ALERT! Zenaida Myspace page logged into today!

Now, my first reaction was:

No shit, Zenaida’s got a MySpace page? She needs to get a life too. I mean who uses MySpace anymore?

But then I remembered that Casey Anthony had already ruined her life and that this Zenaida Gonzalez had hired The M-Team to clear her name. (Listen: The M-Team Intro)

Now aside from my continuing suspicions about whether The M-Team took on Ms. Gonzalez’s case out of the goodness of their hearts solely to clear poor little old Zenaida Gonzalez’s name (I am unaware of them donating any time to the Florida Innocence Project or helping people like James Bain, Leroy McGee, or Bill Dillon clear their equally valuable names), I thought this post needed some looking into.

And man was I reeled in, it was great – if Casey really set up this MySpace page, it provided proof of cold and calculating pre-meditation. But then I read the HinkyMeter and it appears this may be some elaborate hoax 🙁

Undeterred, I moseyed on over to WebSleuths and there it was like lights on a Christmas Tree: Is Casey the real Zenaida? This thread had Five Star ratings and all. I was hooked for about five minutes – and then I got a headache.

But around page 25 of the thread, I did come across some righteous conspiracy angles regarding the issuing of traffic tickets to both Annie Downing and Zenaida Gonzalez on May 24, 2008… (cue mystery music)

Now the first thing that came to my mind was:

“Well, I understand why that reporter called me on April 10, 2009 and asked me to look into this TicketGate.”

And so look is exactly what I did and (Spoiler Alert) while I did not find any real Casey Anthony link, I think I may have found a real juicy Cindy Anthony conspiracy theory – shall I explain?

As most of you guessed, the first thing I did was visit the Orange County Clerk’s website to look up both Annie Downing and Zenaida Gonzalez. To my amazement, there were tickets issued to them both on the same day – the plot thickens.

But wait, it appears that Ms. Gonzalez received not one BUT two tickets…

Now this second ticket was a criminal ticket (more on that later), so it must have been that dastardly Casey Anthony if it was a criminal ticket! She clearly was posing as Zenaida Gonzalez AND Annie Downing on the same day; or was she? Well, this is what inquiring minds want to know! (And National Enquiring minds too, I suppose.)

But before I go any further, I need to explain a little court procedure.

As I explained in a non-Casey Anthony post (Florida’s Uniform Case Numbering System) Florida utilizes a uniform case numbering system that utilizes a twenty character sequence that has five components (Boring I know, but necessary).

And so the case numbers assigned to the three tickets were as follows:

  • 48-2008-TR-104021-O; Annie L. Downing
  • 48-2008-TR-028407-W; Zenaida Gonzalez
  • 48-2008-CT-002378-W; Zenaida Gonzalez

As you may have noticed, the third and fifth components of the case numbers have some differences.

First, you probably notice that the third case number has “CT” in it. Well, this tells people this is a Criminal Traffic offense and is technically a misdemeanor, just like a battery or petit theft. The “TR” stands for a traffic infraction and is civil in nature. An important distinction is also the manner in which they can be resolved: a traffic infraction can be paid, a criminal traffic offense requires a mandatory court appearance.

Second, you may have noticed that the first ticket ends in “O” (as in Orange) and the second two end in “W” (as in West). This last letter is used by the Orange County Clerk of Court to designate which courthouse the tickets are to be handled as if they are contested.

So all cases that end in “O” are resolved at the downtown Orange County Courthouse and all tickets that end in “W” are resolved at the Ocoee Courthouse Annex, which also happens be the westernmost courthouse building in Orange County. If the tickets had ended in “E,” they would have been resolved at the Winter Park Courthouse Annex, which also happens to be the easternmost courthouse building in Orange County (coinkydink, I think not).

So now we know that Ms. Gonzalez’s second ticket was both a criminal case and was to be resolved at the Ocoee Courthouse. And there is one other interesting thing that many people don’t know, the courthouse where the case is resolved is the courthouse that maintains the court file (for at least two years) – this will be important for later.

So with this information in hand, I then went to the downtown courthouse to see what I could get on Ms. Downing’s case. I was informed by the Clerk that the original ticket no longer existed because it had been imaged. So, of course, I had the nice lady print me out a copy: (PDF: Annie L. Downing; 48-2008-TR-104021-W).

Interestingly, the Clerk was also able to print me out a copy of Ms. Gonzalez’s traffic infraction. (PDF: Zenaida Gonzalez; 48-2008-TR-28407-W).

Now the ticket itself provides me with very little information, but it did tell me that Ms. Gonzalez did not have a Florida  Driver License number (which explains her criminal ticket of No Valid Driver’s License) and I was intrigued by the way the ticket was signed – Zenaida Gonzalez C.

Now at this point you have noticed that I was unable to unearth any information on the criminal case; but all was not lost unfaithful ones – for I was undeterred and drove my happy ass down to the Ocoee Courthouse Annex.

And sure enough I was able to finagle my way into the file room and what should I find… None other than a video of Casey Anthony pretending to be Zenaida Gonzales!!!

No, really what I found was the court file for Ms. Zenaida Gonzalez (PDF: Zenaida Gonzalez; 48-2008-CT-2378-W). And after reviewing the file, I quickly realized this Zenaida Gonzalez had absolutely nothing to do with Casey Anthony or these cases.

It reveals that when Ms. Gonzalez was stopped, Officer Allen was unable to communicate with her because she spoke Espanol (Go figure!). As a result, he called Officer Narvaez who does speak Spanish. Officer Narvaez then issued Ms. Gonzalez two tickets:

  1. A civil ticket for Failure to Yield and
  2. A criminal ticket for Driving without a valid Driver License.

Ms. Gonzalez then appeared for court on June 11, 2008 and lo and behold, she still had not mastered the English language. So she signed a Spanish Plea Form and plead Nolo Contendere. The Court then Withheld Adjudication of Guilt, fined her $100, and imposed court costs. Ironically, the court issued her a Notice of Fine and Fees as well as her sentencing disposition in English! No wonder she did not pay her court costs on time.

So, it appears that this Zenaida Gonzalez had nothing to do with Casey, or did she?

Well, ye unfaithful may remember Cindy Anthony’s civil deposition with The M-Team. And if you remember correctly, there was a lot of ruckus about “C. Zenaida Gonzalez.” (WESH: Casey Anthony’s Parents Questioned In Civil Suit.)

The main contention was about the significance of the name C. Zenaida Gonzales appearing on the Sawgrass Apartments log. I assume this is important because Casey clearly told Lee Anthony that the nanny’s name was Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez.

And I think Cindy’s point was that if The M-Team’s “Zenaida Gonzalez” signed her name C. Zenaida Gonzalez, there would be no way for Casey to know that her full name was really Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.

So what is my point to all of this nonsense – that it is just that, nonsense.

For once in my life, I find myself agreeing with Cindy Anthony; meaning that there was no way for Casey Anthony to extrapolate that the “C. Zenaida Gonzalez” who signed the Sawgrass Apartment log was actually The M-Team’s “Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez.”

And the reason I believe her is because:

  1. Casey Anthony is a liar, liar, pants on fire! and
  2. THERE IS NOT A “REAL” ZENAIDA GONZALEZ.

No, Casey Anthony’s Zenaida Gonzalez is none other than a Zanny Bar otherwise known as Xanax!

That is right:

  • There is no real Zenaida on MySpace that is linked to this case,
  • There was no super sleuthing by Casey to figure out that C. Zenaida Gonzalez was actually Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez,
  • Nor is the Zenaida Gonzalez C. who was ticketed on the same day as Annie Downing linked to this case.

Nope these conspiracy theories are giving me a headache.

  1. This is excellent work, Richard, and well above and beyond. It proves your sleuthing prowess in spades. One thing still puzzles me, though. That particular “zenaida” Myspace account was created on June 16, 2008 and was, prior to yesterday, last accessed on October 14, 2008. Both are very important dates in the life of Casey. How can this be no more than mere coincidence? Is there really a viable explanation for it? Couldn’t the door still be left open for Casey to have been responsible for creating it as a possible alibi for the real thing?

    As for what is going on now, I have no idea, but the June 16 startup date was a month before anyone (outside of family and friends) knew who Caylee was.

    Thanks for mentioning my post and for logically explaining how the process works. This aspect of the crime and investigation is very puzzling.

    • I actually just posted a response over yonder at your place. Bottom line, if Law Enforcement had subpoenaed this information, it would have been released by now. The connection to Casey would be relatively simple to prove or disprove through an IP subpoena.

      So either they (1) do not think this is important or (2) are lazy and have not subpoenaed the information.

      I don’t doubt (2) as a possibility, but I suspect (1) is the real answer.

      • Has anyone gone back and done the research themselves by starting with the SOURCE of this theory?

        Hint, try Blinkoncrime, and check out the story of ‘Zanny and Annie’s Excellent Adventure’, instead of starting with the stories that started ‘downstream’.

        Maybe debunking is best done at the headwaters– if any, rather than wading through the spin-offs first, if only to have a simpler more clear view.

        Now, to Zenaida the Dora-Explorer Myspace page and how and when it was actually created, that seems to be narrowed to June 16th, the actual time of day, being discussed recently at hinkymeter. How would anyone know about this Zenaida Dora with such similarity to set up this page, unless it were Casey setting up her alibi.

    Myspace Zenaida is a separate thing from the Zenaida with the traffic ticket.

    • Actually I did not miss the point – rather I think you missed my point. My point was that all of the Zenaida Conspiracies theories are just, conspiracy theories.

      If this MySpace theory had any truth to it, Law Enforcement should have and could have solved it by a simple subpoena request a year ago.

      Since they have not released any MySpace records, it can be easily inferred that they found no reason to link Casey to the MySpace account you are all referring to.

      I also think that the M-Team’s Zenaida Gonzalez is in this for false motives as well.

      So my point was exactly what it is, there is no Zenaida Gonzalez. I simply think Zanny the Nanny is a reference to Xanax – nothing more, nothing less.

      • What are the rules of discovery? Does the state have to provide inculpatory information (that presumably, Casey would be able to provide to her own attorneys?). If someone planned a hoax, then how would they know at the time (June 16th sometime between midnight of 15th to early hours of 16th) the body would be found with a Dora backpack– ie: Dora the Explorer in the woods?

        Can this be explained by manipulation of Myspace creation dates? Recent meticulous work has been done by comparing Myspace account numbers to narrow the time that the Zenaida Dora Myspace was created, and this puts it in this time window of June 16th, when no one even know the baby was missing.

        Would the state have to tell Casey what they have learned by subpoena from Myspace if she is the one to have created it as an alibi of sorts?

  3. I just read your blog about the May 24, 2008 traffic citations issued to Annie Leigh Downing and a “Zenaida Gonzalez.” Thanks to your research, I am now convinced that Casey Anthony was not driving the vehicle cited for the reasons you stated.

    However, you may be interested in the fact that there was a Zanaida Fenandez Gonsalez who was a member of the Class of 1994 (10 years ahead of Casey’s Class of 2004) at Colonial High School. Although the spelling of the three names is different than how Casey spelled them, they are close enough to surmise that Casey did not just dream these names up but had somehow come across them prior to the date on which she adopted them as the names used by her alleged “nanny.” When I first came across this interesting tidbit many moons ago, I provided OCSO with a copy of the entry as it appeared in the CHS Classmates Directory. This may be nothing but an intersting fact — but you never know!

    • Very interesting – now you may be interested to know that I attended University High School (Class of 1993), which was by no coincidence the arch-rival of Colonial High School. We still annually play for The Boot.

      Now my high school girlfriend (J. Lavely) coincidentally enough went to Colonial High School and was class of ….. 1994!!!!

      Can you believe it, my high school girlfriend was in the same graduating class as a Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez!

      Hmmm… and the plot thickens.

  5. As an FYI and nothing more than a trivial piece of information, the guest card at Sawgrass was filled out by the apartment manager, not by Ms. Gonzalez. If you look closely at the writing, the “C” actually looks more like a “G”, as if the manager started to write “Gonzalez” in the section for the first name, stopped himself, and then filled out the card correctly.

    Its a shame you were side-tracked by the traffic ticket theory, because the real question out there is whether or not the myspace page was set up by Casey or not. Probably not, but the fact that it was created on June 16, 2008 – the day Caylee disappeared – and the last login (at least until yesterday) was October 14, 2008 – the day Casey went to jail for good – made it a heck of a coincidence.

    From what I understand, OCSO was given the heads-up on the page in March, so they had ample time to subpoena IP records and the like.

    BTW, I have begrudgingly become a fan of yours despite the fact you played for Florida.

    • I wasn’t really side tracked, I actually pulled most of the information from an email I sent on April 10 when I did all of the work. My point was that I don’t think there is anything to the MySpace page – although I was really intrigued by the date, etc.

      And my ONLY reason that I don’t think there is anything there, is because solving the mystery of who created it and when it was created is literally one of the simplest things law enforcement could do. So there is a reason they have not done so – and my only guess is that their computer forenics guy told them there is no need to chase the lead for a reason.

  6. Thanks for explaining the traffic ticket conspiracy (and going to the extent of getting the info). I had had a hard time following the connection to Casey but figured the “sleuthers” knew what they had found. It really wasn’t as far-fetched a theory as other conspiracies I’ve read pertaining to this case. As for the MySpace, I’m not so sure there is nothing to it, yet.

    I have always thought that “Zanny” was Xanax, too. And I believe Casey’s friend that had a prescription for it would occasionally give them out to friends, contrary to her sworn statement to LE. If you listened to her interview with LE, she got VERY nervous when questioned about giving Xanax to friends. I think Casey would give poor Caylee a small dose to knock her out when she couldn’t get Cindy to babysit and had to take her along when she went to party, either leaving Caylee in the car when at a bar, or letting her “nap” at the actual parties at friend’s homes.

    PS – I’ve also become a fan of yours…keep up the good work & research, but don’t neglect your new bride!

    Of course, Zanny is xanex. However, she came up with this Zaneida that was a so-called “10” she picked up alot of info. on a soap opera she watched. One Tree Hill or something like that.

    You make a great det. You and Hinky are both extremely bright. I hope the two of you compare notes often.

    This is so confusing, at least to me. I need a Xanex (or Scotch and water) Anyway,
    I am going to try and sort this out (it ain’t easy!) ..

  12. I still think Casey created the myspace page in a weak attempt to bolster her Zenaida alibi. It was created June 16, 2008, a full month before any of us had heard of the Anthony’s, so I dont think a random person created it as a hoax. jmo

  13. Oh dear, you really do make me laugh! Great blog again from Mr Hornsby. I didn’t want to like you but somehow you have got under my skin. Does that make me one of the “unfaithfuls”?

    Anyway, I agree the ticket is nothing. I never felt the tickets held up to examination.

    The myspace is a different kettle of fish. There is no getting around those dates and as of today after well over a year of digging and investigating by some truly outstanding minds, no one can come up with a believeable explanation for that myspace. That is to say if not Casey then who?

    No one on 16 July knew that Zenaida the nanny had taken the child other than her family, LE and Casey. Until the mass text of course which did not state the name Zenaida. So that would be the mother of all coincendences until the last day it was accessed 14 October – until yesterday.

  14. “Zanny” = Xanax! Hadn’t thought of that, but it makes sense. A child of two years of age, and probably weighing 35 to 40 pounds, it wouldn’t take much of this drug to put her to sleep fast, and keep her asleep for hours. Probably no more than an eighth of a mg would have caused her to be out for at least 8 hours. Wonder how many times Caylee was in that trunk zonked on Xanax, and said to be “with Zanny”! What a horrible thought, but Richard, you led my mind down that trail.

  15. Darnudes from what the OP’s who tracked the Dora/Zeniada MySpace figured out, it was created the morning of June 16th, not July 16th, hours before Caylee was last seen alive. As I’m sure you know, George says he saw Caylee and Casey leave the house at approx. 12:50 pm on June 16th.

    and darnudes, I understood that the myspace acct was set up on JUNE 16th ( not july16th.).. and at that time, no one but casey knew the status of caylee or the alibi that would possibly be needed.

    If you take the scanned image of the Sawgrass guest card and inspect it you will see the first letter that Cindy wants to call “C” is actually a G with the vertical section lifted (too light to come through well). It appears to me the whole “C” theory Cindy thinks she grandstanded with is nothing but the Sawgrass employee initially starting with last name first and then stopping and switching to first then last name.

    Of course, clarification of this WILL come out in the Sawgrass employee’s testimony during trial.

  23. I beg to differ with JustMe about Annie’s use of Xanax. In her deposition, Annie stated that, at one time, she did have a prescription for Xanax and that it was one of these pills that she admittedly gave to a friend who was not Casey. She clearly stated that she never gave any of these pills to Casey. If Casey had used Xanax for zonking Caylee out on a daily basis, she would have had to receive it from someone else. I myself believe Casey used Chloroform on a daily basis as her favorite knock-out potion, which is supported by the fact that an excessive amount of pure chloroform was detected in her car trunk compartment.

      I didn’t mean to imply that Casey gave Caylee Xanax on a DAILY basis, just that I do agree that “Zanny” was Xanax. Just because her friend “clearly stated” she never gave Casey the pills doesn’t make it true! As I said above, if you listen to her LE interview, you can tell she’s very nervous when talking about this. And Casey could have gotten Xanax from others – it’s a well known “party” drug & Casey was running with that kind of crowd the last few months of Caylee’s life…

      I do agree with you that Chloroform was occasionally used, probably more towards the end of Caylee’s life – perhaps Casey’s source of Xanax ended. IDK, but yes, at the end it was an (accidental?) OD of Chloroform that killed Caylee. Since Casey isn’t talking, we’ll probably never know which of our theories (or both) are correct…

  25. Mr. Hornsby, with all due respect, you need to give credit where credit it due. You know better than to take credit for someone elses opinions, hyposthesis or research.

    Regarding Casey, Annie and the ZG traffic citations, this ‘angle’ was clearly offered by Blink of blinkoncrime.com. The material clearly seems to be ‘plagerized’ from her own hard work.

    Care to explain?

    • Um, can you tell me whose opinion I usurped? If it has to do with the Annie Downing – Zenaida Gonzalez issue; I resolved all of that myself on April 10, 2009 (the clerk charges you see are from my request for copies). I was requested to look into that by Florida News Network reporter Rozzi Franco, so just because I did not blog about it first, does not mean it was not my original work/opinion.

      And if you are referring to the Xanax-Nanny theory, the first time I thought of that was in 2008 while talking to a friend’s mother (we were watching a Florida Gator game). So I will happily give her credit for planting the idea in my head the next time I see her 🙂

          It is found under Zenaida only and actually the better scenario is not Casey at all but THE REAL PERP!!

          • Heckler, that would be great if it was ‘the real perp’ — would clear up a lot of problems once the ‘paper trail’ is made known. Where does the original set up of that Zenaida, Pisces, young woman who uses Dora as an identity photograph, and who alludes to being loved and loves ‘alex’ (the last person Casey saw Caylee with was Zenaida she says, and Dora was with Caylee’s remains and Lee’s middle name is Alexander, just like his maternal grandfather). Now why of course, would a real perp whoever it is, draw attention to themselves and risk death? It’s likely a hoax, but then again, not if Myspace has decent security. (I’ll wait awhile before signing up, thank you very much.)

            Is the defense setting someone up? No conspiracies here, just waiting until the mud is cleared away in due course.

You may have obtained data/documentation regarding the ZG/Annie citations but you did NOT coincidentally come up with the theory simultaneously. Sir, I’ve read both sites and my ‘happy ass’ tells me you’re not being straight forward with your resources and references. You are misrepresenting and misleading your readers. At least ‘Blink’ is willing to admit her theory could be debunked, but it is her research from which you inspire to present as your own. I tend to rest with humility as it usually reveals character and integrity.

    This is not your work. Shame on you.

I am appreciative that RH went and ‘logically’ checked it all out with facts. Before now, it was just a twisting of the story to make casey look suspicious.   33. About the ‘C.’ in the so called ‘C Zenaida Gonzalez. Ms. Gonzalez did not fill out that card, the Sawgrass manager filled out the name, presumably he started to put last name first and stopped part way, then continued with first name, then last name.

    The quotation from the deposition of Cindy Anthony included Cindy asking a question of Ms. Gonzalez who was sitting ‘NOT’ under oath in the deposition room, and Cindy did not stop her direct questions to Ms. Gonzalez even when her lawyer, was asked to get control of his client (“Brad Please!”).

    Now, we have this question to a person not under oath, by a witness under oath doing the questioning in her own deposition, her lawyer sits by ineffective to gain control.

    What value is Mrs. Anthony’s question and apparent non-verbal response, to the deposition ‘facts’? Mrs. Anthony, the deposee, asks Ms. Gonzalez, observer under no oath, if she signed the card. Ms. Anthony was conducting the deposition at this point, putting Ms. Gonzalez’s ‘repsonses’ on the record, as she herself interpreted them. And Ms. Anthony’s conclusion was all wrong in her battering questions of Ms. Gonzalez “What does the C stand for? Zenaida is prolly her middle name.” (and was that when Mrs. Anthony winked at Brad? Or was that another instance of deposee taking over the depo?)

    Note that ‘C’ is also on the traffic violation forms for the 22 year old, 5′ 02″, Spanish only speaking, Zenaida Gonzalez. The signatures on those forms vary. C is on one of the signatures or printed names, another less well reproduced versions suggests another or second last name, possibly starting with a C, and then there’s signatures also by Zenaida Gonzalez, with no C or additional name whatsoever.

    IF this were Casey, let’s just imagine for a moment, the addition of more information to embellish a ‘fact’ or story is not new in her behaviour, it’s been well documented. Adding to, or embellishing her chosen fake ID of Zenaida Gonzalez, to vary it in a ‘real’ circumstance such as this, could have been done here, and it also could have been done similarly to embellish or change slightly, her chosen fake ID when she named Zenaida Gonzalez (forget the ‘C’ as a mistake by the card filling person) and added Fernandez to vary this person’s name a little.

  35. There have been so many theories, rumors and innuendos surrounding this case that it can be hard to separate fact from fiction. I try to stick with the released documents but do read comments on various sites. That being said, there was a rumor (?) that Zenaida’s boyfriend was affiliated with the tattoo shop that Casey frequented and could easily have heard Zenaida’s name or even been there at the same time. This Zenaida is on MySpace and possibly Face Book (though I’m not sure about FB) and from what I remember they allegedly have common friends.

    I also would put it all down to coincidence that this Zenaida happened to visit Sawgrass Apts as many believe. But the fact that Casey described the car with New York license plates and used names of Zenaida’s family members indicates to me that Casey was trying to set this Zenaida up, or at the very least used her personal information to weave into her web of lies.

  37. A state subpoena for deposition by any other name is an interview under oath, nevertheless. Watch the December 11th hearing again, listen closely to the arguments between Ms. Tennis and Ms. Drane-Burdick, and listen to what Judge Strickland advises. We must presume that the state took Judge Strickland’s advice, to keep the date to question Dominic Casey and to go ahead with a different version of the paperwork, which was the ‘investigative subpoena’. They didn’t need the deposition paperwork, therefore it was withdrawn, and replaced with the legally ‘secretive’ state subpoena for investigation. The state opted to do a ‘deposition’ which would allow Mr. Baez to attend, and Baez and Tennis forced the state to take the option which would be identical except Baez wouldn’t be there.

    You bet the date was kept. Dominic Casey has been questioned, he can’t get out of it. The defense sure wants to keep him quiet though, don’t they?!! He must have a lot to say about knowing where the body was and when.

I think Casey did tell people Zanny, then when the need arose for an alibi she had to come up with a name that worked with the nickname Zanny. iirc, she searched this name on her computer as well during the critical time. I personally like the idea of her coming up with the name from the combination of her neighbors or other people she knew, just like she did with Jeff and Juliet etc. Casey was not used to having her stories checked out. IMO she believed everyone would just take her word for it like her parents had always done.

    It looks to me like she found a Zenaida Gonzalez at Cast Iron Tattoos. Right in her own neighborhood. If she was looking for a Zenaida Gonzalez to frame, she didn’t have to go far. Lucky for this Zenaida that Morgan is representing her.

    Brings to mind the woman of the same name in a neighboring county who had her office broken into and her computer stolen on June 9th, coincidently the date of when Casey originally said her daughter was “kidnapped”.

    To clarify, I never said I know nothing about the case. I’ve read all of the released discovery documents. I’ve also read a lot of information that I have no way of confirming if it’s fact or rumor. Most things on the Internet related to Zenaida Gonzalez are not facts obtained from discovery docs. We’ll learn all of the facts when we watch Casey’s three trials, the first starting in January if she doesn’t take a plea before hand.

    • She will plea she knows Judge Strickland wants a plea or will sentence her like he does any other person on these same charges in his courtroom. As the Judge said in the very beginning and Richard has reminded us of “Ms Anthony you and the truth are strangers! Enough said. We all only know what we read in discovery.     • I suspect they had off the record discussions about how they were going to conduct jury selection in the fraud case. I bet the judge told Baez his intent was to first try and select the jury in Orlando and only then try elsewhere. Probably told both parties that if they had an objection to that they need to file them – otherwise he would proceed forward as stated.

Seems to me, and I could be wrong, but it’s prudent to not take the story from WS or other blogger comments, who had nothing to do with the story but to comment on it. If there is any critique to be made, the WS and other comments, are not the best source, the story itself is.

    Why bring in the WS or other site’s comments? They were only going off Blink’s writing so any critique of the work, should go to that source. JMHO.

    Otherwise, love reading over here too. Although heckler is the Anthony camp resident, that too, is interesting, does heckler give a clue as to the revisiting of Zanny as Mr. Morgan’s client? Seems so, but this is not the first clue we have seen in that direction, by an Anthony supporter aka follower.

        What I have said I felt was unprofessional about you, is the same thing I would say to anyone bashing colleagues. I have alot of friends that are attorneys, some of them even know you, and I can tell you I have never heard an ill-word about a colleague in a profession regulated by ethics and responsibility.

        Let me take that back, with the exception of 2 that used to be Frat brothers but that doesn’t count.

        What I have also said, is that when your site launched I felt there was a real need for an objective legal perspective as this case proceeds to trial and I was hopeful that was your focus.

          I just read your post from your link for the first time. So I give you full credit for debunking that myth before I did. But let me be clear, I had never read your post until today – fair?

          Then again, I took the extra effort to obtain the LE narrative and Spanish plea form from the ZG’s court file. Because she did not speak English – that is what I based my opinion on – not clerk web dockets. If anything, I did more research IMO than you. But the point is I came to my opinion completely independent of yours, even if yours was months before mine.

          As for objectivity, (and this really has nothing to do with you I am just venting) I say my thoughts as I believe them. I think Sheaffer is a sell out, I don’t really care if that is considered professional or not – he is a sell out. You like him because he agrees with you, is Kathi B’s sidekick, and tells you things you want to hear. Woo Hoo, he is a god!

          I personally think his actions were unprofessional and unethical, and if these so called colleagues of mine were too scared to call him out – they need to get out of criminal law. You need to understand, until this case, I had never seen Sheaffer in court before. He is an old guy pretending to still be relevant. I would put my record for the past ten years up against his any day. Except for grey hair, he had nothing on me. He sold out his colleagues for Kathi B. And if he wants to sleep with the devil, so be it. I’ll be his huckleberry from now on.

          I also think Baez is scum of the earth (more on that in a few days) but he is. Both of these clowns are why defense attorneys get a bad name.

          As for Kathi B., anyone can scream outlandish questions and sound like an avenging angel when the person you are screaming them at represents public enemy number one.           But back to Sheaffer, I can’t stand lawyers like him. He is out of touch with the law and was saying whatever Kathi B. wanted him to say because it sounded good for tv. He is as much a clueless wonder as Baez. Notice he shut his trap after I called him out, because he doesn’t know the law. He would just say esoteric statements that sounded good in a vacuum, but were utterly wrong – just like Baez. Once put to a little “peer review” his expert opinion proved – lacking.

          As for these colleagues of mine you “know,” you tell them to man up and say something to my face if they think I am over stepping my professional or ethical bounds. Otherwise, they are also violating the Florida Rules of Professionalism – as all attorneys have a duty to report unethical behavior by other attorneys. With that said, they either know they are wrong or are scared to voice their opinion; either way I have no respect for them.

          I can assure you, neither my ethics or my definition of professionalism will be defined by lawyers who have handled a fraction of the real cases as me and whose professional record cannot compare to mine. Be clear my record speaks for itself – I walk the walk and talk the talk. Neither Sheaffer or Baez does (or these other attorneys you know).

          Make no mistake, before I outed Sheaffer because he directly contradicted me, I rarely read anything online. But once I outed him and people were taking his side, I took my case right to the public and I think proved I was right (although juvenile in my approach, but I don’t care, I am who I am).

          Anyway, why am I posting so much now? Because I am tired of reporters coming to me about what they think is relevant instead of asking me what I think is relevant. I have a lot of thoughts and I will speak them how I want – not how you want.

          Will what I think be objective? If your opinion of objective is: pro-prosecution/justice for Caylee; probably not.

          If your idea of objective is: what does the law say and what is likely to occur – even if you don’t agree with it – then you will find me objective, even if you don’t like my opinion.

          As for sugar and eggs, I play flag football at Delaney Park every Saturday morning with a cross-section of Orlando that Kathi B. would be too uncomfortable to show her face around, much less associate with. There is no one in this town that knows more people than me and Kathi B. can kiss my ass with her sensationalist reporting.

          I would like to thank you for letting me know you are associated with her – and thus your true colors. I am going to re-dedicate myself to exposing her false and sensational reporting. Which she does, not to get “justice for caylee” but to get ratings. She is a fraud, Sheaffer is a fraud, and they are perfect for each other as they try to keep up with Jose “I represent the presumption of innocence” Baez – the biggest fraud of them all.

          This will be the final comment on my blog from anyone but me and from me anywhere but here.

            I do not know Bill Schaeffer. You will notice I have never commented on his blog, nor have I read it. I never once mentioned him to you. The Kathi B was snark. I will try to be more overt in the future.

            Kathi B used my work to get an interview and *BOMBSHELL* on Nancy Grace re Todd Black. I had actually turned down an appearance regarding that work previously, because, well you know, Nancy is Nancy.

            The next day her news editor and I chatted, then we had a 3 way.

            Moreover, I specifically stated that the lawyers I know, that know you, would not speak an ill word. How do you translate that into “they should man up”.

            As far as you asserting you did more research than me, how many book reports have you done in your life without the book? There is less than 50% of what I have ‘uncovered” in that report with good reason.

        If you don’t mind me pointing something out, I think where the miscommunication is occurring is that you stated yourself that you investigated the ZG22 traffic ticket at the request of the TV station in April. Well, that was many moons after Blink had written about her extensive investigation into the issue.

        I think the point that is being missed is that the news station got the story from Blink’s work, then passed it to you to look into.

        At that time you most likely did not know where the information was coming from, but “Ticketgate”, as you refer to it, would have come from Blink’s work.

          You have the telephone number and address of the ticketed 22 (or was it 23) year old 5’2″ Zenaida Gonzalez in Winter Park. Have you rung her up to see what she might be able to confirm? (if not, did you give the contact info to the reporter? They might be able to solve the mystery)

          This is still intriguing, until it’s solved one way or another.

        • Hi Val – Your last point is the important one. Richard is being accused of lifting something from Blink with knowledge. If he came by something that originated with Blink unbeknownst to him then what is the problem? He’s just saying that he did not plagiarize.

          At a certain point information is out there in the ether. Ever wonder how two different films on the same subject happen to appear at the same time? It happens and it’s perfectly innocent. There is a large consciousness that connects from the same source and it is one of those things that happens all the time. I think the whole discussion is disingenous and silly myself. Respectfully.

    • Thank you Suze, I read that for the first time today and I noticed that she did not actually go look at the file. If you re-read her post, she actually had multiple possible theories. I on the other had one and my theory was because I had ACTUALLY LOOKED AT THE PHYSICAL COURT FILE and saw the ZG in the ticket case did speak a lick of English, I even posted the spanish plea form and LE narrative.

      Could you imagine an investigative reporter not even looking at the court file?

    Better chance at meeting GOD himself! IMO.” Have you figured out the odds on all of the other evidence that has been released? I don’t know how anyone other than Casey could conclude with 100% certainty if she is guilty or innocent.

      • The parents, George and Cindy made some stupid decisions as grandparents of a 2 year old baby by not looking out for her. No, it wasn’t their daughter, she ‘belonged’ as Cindy said, to Casey. But even a stranger worried about the care of a baby, could help, where Cindy was caring too much for whatever it was except the child.

        What you are saying is that you believe Casey is not guilty of murder one, but she IS guilty certainly, of a murder of one. One little almost talking in sentences, baby.

      • Ok so how did the dead Catlee get in kc’s trunk? Why did she never report her missing? Why did she lie? Why did she invent people and some of them she even invented a child for connecting her to Zanny. Why does the duct tape on Caylee match the duct tape on the gas can of jojo? Why does the duct tape match the missing Caylee posters? So you would have us believe Caylee put the duct tape on herself, jumped into 2 trash bags and tied them up and then jumped in a laundry bag (which match those at the anthony house) and closed it! The deathband hair in kc’s trunk matched Caylee. Caylee’s body pattern is in the fetal postion in her car as seen in the photo in discovery! The body wax found on the paper towels in kc’s trunk. The time the botnist says the body was in the woods due to the growth thru her remains! All the reports from the body farm. And you can bet the FBI has not released everything to the SAO so they will have a big bombshell for baez before trial. The same place where kc buried her pets. Way to much points to the ONLY killer kc. Sorry but she will do the time for this as she should. Way to many lies and coverups. And baez is a clown. He could’nt find his way out of a wet paper bag.   56. Mr. Hornsby I, like others were glad to read your legal opinions on the C. Anthony case, but was put off a little by your arrogance towards other colleagues. I find that your legal opinions are valid but do not believe that you have to attack others for their beliefs. Everyone is entitled to them.
    I’m bewildered by your reluctance to reply to “Blink’s” post to you. To me, the goal is the same, to try and figure out the complexities of this case. She’s right in saying that everyone should work together, because as she mentionioned in her post, between her and people like Valhall, MD, Bill Shaeffer and many others, we, the lay people, so to speak, will learn so much more than whatever the media could lay out there for us.

    I certainly feel that there is room for everyone and no one has to be top dog, so to speak. IMO

Something my parents gave me and probably never knew it – in fact I doubt they had even heard of the word being the ‘country folk’ they were but they didn’t have to have known this word – they LIVED it and their children (I’m one of them) absorbed it and as a result, I LIVE it. I AM it. I am NOTHING w/o it – integrity. And when it is questioned, I get totally pissed. Like my father use to say and I say it now – When I say something, you can take it to the bank. There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, like the good ole truth.

    Like me, you are a person with high integrity. You speak the truth and when it is challenged (poor word – lets change that to ATTACKED) the way it has on this blog page, I don’t blame you, I would be highly pissed too. I applauded you for the ‘strong’ message you sent to your non-believers.

    Some are so shallow, they think that only ONE person can come up with an idea, a theory, or a thought and their own issue of mistrust is represented when they see it elsewhere so the first word that escapes their lips is ‘you stole it’ – or something to that effect. Little do they know is that people with INTEGRITY don’t have to steal. Bottom line. HUGE PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION. In the words of another person I admire – Judge Judy – GET OVER IT!

    Analogy time: We have all thought of great inventions – I’ve certainly had my fair share. And about 90 percent of MY INVENTIONS, would pop up in a TV ad later. Did someone steal my invention? Afterall, it was MY INVENTION I was looking at on my scratch pad. No – absolutely NOT! Two (or more) people can have the same thought, the same idea and ‘run with it’ the way they see fit. While someone else ran with their idea and make it into reality, I sat on my idea and did nothing. Did I get pissed? Heck no – I kicked my own booty and then went on with my life. Thank goodness the first car maker (damn I forget his name) didn’t make a big fuss when the second car maker came up with his idea of a car.     Integrity. Richard, you LIVE it. you ARE it. Just tell these whiners to GET OVER IT! Don’t let them bring you down to their level – that’s where they want you. You have such a unique talent of being truth to the surface so others can view it, digest it, and decide. I don’t blame you – as long as you have posters that attacks you (not challenge you because chalenge is good), you don’t owe them any explanation of why you do what you do when you do it. Personally, my advice for those with high stress and and wanting to start a battle with you is – GO HAVE SEX- it’s a better stess reliever and you’ll get more out of it than Richard’s reply.

  80. I think everyone knows that Casey killed Caylee. There is NO evidence to the contrary. There may be some questions involving the what/where/how part of it but it is obvious who did this.

    As an American citizen though I hope that Casey recieves a fair trial and that she is convicted by the standards set for any defendent. Innocent people are charged with crimes everyday and if she doesn’t get a fair trial it is not justice.

    There are two pieces of evidence that stands out as what will convict her and there is no explaining them.
